Harmony - DON'T NOD

Harmony: The Fall of Reverie is an upcoming game on PC and several devices. Polly, back on the island she grew up, finds out she has the power to see the future. This ability links her to another world of deities who will help her defeat an evil corporation and give the world a new direction.

CFrom what was established by previous people and the project's requirements, I did researches and made narrative pitches of what the story could be. Working on the synospsis' structure, I was able to help define the core pillars of Harmony as well as writing and editing the scenario after having shaped the characters and their arcs throughout the game.

In pairs with game designers, we designed the game's modules while thinking of narrative intentions and gameplay needs. Then I wrote the game and the dialogues with the other narrative designers before giving the content to writers to be rewritten or not. I assisted the writing process, provinding feedbacks, following the iteration process and implementing changes when needed to strenghten the narration or according to other teams' needs.

I also wrote additional content such as the text describing each scene.

I was able to work on many other things and with other team members: listing assets, attending reviews, providing feedbacks, suggesting or rephrasing internal and external communication writings, making fake scene samples for voice over castings or attending recordings.

(more precision to come according to the marketing campaign)

Tales Up - Périple Studio

Tales Up is a mobile application. Players gather together, enter their name into the game and then play several adventures shaped by the choices they will make.

I worked on the design of the app, trying to find the best features to tell exciting stories and make sure it is accessible.

I researched many topics and planned several branching stories and wrote them in .txt files, updated a flowchart for each to facilitate playtestings before adding them on a special tool who reads the code. I talked with the visual artists and composer to give them a unique atmosphere and implemented the assets.

Le Destin de Troie

This systemic game places the player in the midst of the Trojan War.

It was made using the storylets system of Twine 2 (Harlowe). Le Destin de Troie offers a new vision of the war, including lots of variations and several endings. Choices, variables and a bit of random will open and close various possibilities for what could come next, making each playtime different.

Tuesday evening

Tuesday Evening is a chill game, a snapshot of the life of a woman during the pandemic lockdown. As the sun is getting low, as her cigarette is burning, she has nothing but her phone to check on her relatives.

Made with Ink and Unity, players can explore the phone, engage in various conversations and learn more about the main characters, her personality and her situation. Choices have direct consequences and some of them across multiple conversations.

I have created every characters and the design of the conversations as well as writing them in Ink. It was important for us to add accessibility options for those who need them. It is possible to deactivate text animations, enable a bigger font size and slow the text speed.

Love in the Commune

This interactive fiction made on Twine follows Alice in 1871 as the government is attacking the Commune of Paris during what will be called the Bloody Week. Help her escape alive with her partner as her dreams and her city burn.

This fiction takes place during an historical on which I researched. I used variables and conditions, as well as branchings, to customize the player's experience depending on their choices. Using CSS, I could put a background image to the story as well as a border around the reading area.
